UML and Plex
From The CA Plex Wiki
The UML Bridge for Plex product enables Plex users to export their
existing models to UML and import UML models into their Plex model. By
doing that Plex users are able to move their development cycle up to the
analysis phase without leaving the model driven concept.
Once initialized the Bridge repository, it is very easy to import UML models into Plex. The Bridge repository enables users to setup their own conversion rules. The Bridge is using XMI as conversation standard between the UML tool and Plex. As XMI is still in development, the Bridge is able to use the different versions of XMI (i.e. XMI version 1.1 and XMI version 1.2). By using XMI standards the Bridge users are free in selecting their own UML tool.
The Bridge enables users to unleash the power of the Plex design patterns into the UML tool. Users will be able to move the process of ‘pattern matching’ up to the analysis phase of the development cycle. The design patterns, coming with AllFusion Plex or user defined, can be exported from AllFusion Plex and imported into the UML tool of choice. This makes the design patterns available during the UML modeling process.
